Ceramic cookware are an alternative to traditional cast iron, metal cookware. They are generally made from clay that are baked in a kilns and then glazed. They can also be made of more traditional kitchen cookware materials such as cast iron, steel, aluminum and a mixture of other sheet metals. They are then coated with a ceramic enamel that gives it a nonstick cooking surface and protects the cookware.
Ceramic cookware are aesthetically pleasing, the porcelain layer made from the high heat of the kiln shines and stands out from everyday cookware.
